Vokera

Excell Range

Problem Solution
Poor hot water/going hot&cold

A dirty fan/venturis will cause air pressure switch to drop out and cycle burner on/off on maximum gas, clean to rectify

Plate heat exchangers can sludge up, you may need a special Vokera Allen key to remove earlier models as the one fixing screw is hidden inside the Left Hand Block

Boiler on with no demand

Domestic microswitch can stick on, causing radiators to heat up

Radiators warming with hot water demand Diverter valve bobbin assembly can distort/pass water to radiators when in hot water operation
Fan failure neon/flue light flickering electronic models Air pressure switch may be failing.

Linea

Problem Solution
On with no demand, CO in display

This is normally when the mode selection switch is not correctly lined up with a mode, turn to "0" then select the desired mode then should be ok

Blowing fuses/internal fuse on PCB Water can leak through stuffing box on diverter valve and leak into motorised head. Remove head and check for water marks. Stuffing box can be changed/removed with a deep socket
Poor hot water Domestic heat exchangers are prone to sludging up due to the preheat. Check flow and return to domestic heat exchanger, if flow pipe is excessively hot, then change domestic heat exchanger. Can sometimes throw up a sensor fault aswell

Maxin

Problem Solution
Intermittent lockout

Cross light strip can buckle causing poor initial light up

Check softlight gas pressure is adequate

Air pressure tubes can crack and cause lockout

Overheating will cause lockout, check temperatures

If all is ok, ignition box can also be very problematic

Poor heating Heating potentiometer can go past it's stop, causing it to go on its lowest setting
